Visas can be issued for any amount of time from 3 months to 3 years but generally one is only allowed to stay in Australia for maximum 3 months per entry within their visa validity dates.

Our job is to advise and review all supporting documents prior to submission. Once the application has been lodged online the applicant would be sent a letter requesting them to attend at a Australian VAC closest to them to provide their biometrics. Applicants will need to take this letter with them to an AVAC when providing biometrics so the AVAC is able to match their application with the biometrics collected.

Holders of some foreign passports (e.g. British, Spanish, Italy etc.) will be entitled to apply for an electronic visa which will grant them pre-approved entry into Australia. This pre-approval is generally issued within 48 hours and is virtual (you won't get a physical document like a visa in your passport). This electronic visa (ETA or eVisitor visa) is valid for 12 months from date of issue and allows for multiple stays of up to 3 months.
