Canadian News: Visa applicants must submit their applications in person
Starting 31 July 2018, when applying for a Canadian visa, the applicant would need to lodge their application in person at the VFS Global office in Pretoria.
The applicant would need to submit their biometrics i.e. fingerprints and facial scan at the VFS Global office.
Biometrics will be valid for ten years from the date they were first submitted. As a result applicants will not need to resubmit biometrics until the 10 year period expires.
Exemptions Included:
• Children under the age of 14
• Applicants over the age of 79
• Cabinet ministers and accredited diplomats of other countries and the united Nations, coming to Canada on official business
• U.S visa holders transiting through Canada.
