Customers will be able to make an application in any visa route but should check carefully the terms of the visa they are applying for, before they apply, to ensure that they meet the criteria for that route – including any requirements to travel within a certain time frame. Customers still need to meet the requirements of the UK Immigration Rules and must take into account any local travel restrictions or immigration requirements when making plans to travel to the UK. Applicants cannot use a visit visa to remain in the UK for long periods of time or to settle there.
