Some visitors and transit passengers can travel to New Zealand without a visa if they get an NZeTA (New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority) before they travel. From 1 October 2019, if you are from a visa waiver country e.g. the United Kingdom, you must hold a NZeTA before you travel. This electronic visa is valid for up to 2 years and allows for many visits.
